An SUV was rear-ended on the Trans-Canada Highway near Golden yesterday.

RCMP responded to a call about a crash on the highway near Emerald Lake Road at 10:40 a.m. on July 18, according to a release from police.

The SUV was rear-ended by a car as the driver was turning left off the highway.

Passengers in both vehicles were taken to hospital with serious injuries, but they were non-life-threatening.

Police are still investigating the crash.

DriveBC.ca does not show any delays on the highway in that area at this time.

Anyone who saw the collision is asked to call the Golden-Field RCMP at 250-344-2221.
