Drivers going through Lake Country should be prepared for delays this week as the district repairs some busy streets.

Tomorrow, Aug. 12, the District of Lake Country is doing some repairs on three major streets; Glenmore Road from Chase Road south to the Lake Country and Kelowna boundary, Okanagan Centre Road West from McCoubrey Road to 8555 Okanagan Centre Road West, and Sherman Drive from Lodge road to Pheasant Road.

The district plans on renewing most of the road surfaces tomorrow, but it expects all the work to be finished by the end of the day on Wednesday, Aug. 14, according to a press release from the district.

There will be limited road access at times, including periods of single lane alternating traffic and short delays.

The district did not say how much these repairs will cost but these repairs are being scheduled to “optimize improvement costs by including it with other roads being resurfaced this year.”
