To say that the Bibby family is busy would be a terrific understatement. They are the owners and operators of Nighthawk Vineyards in Okanagan Falls, BC. Their property is not just a vineyard and winery, but also features an award-winning outdoor patio restaurant and two luxury eco-resort “glamping” accommodations.
Crafting Great Wine - And Great Memories
Daniel Bibby and I arranged to talk about the happenings in the vineyard, and it is very clear from our conversation that Nighthawk Vineyards has a lot going on. Nighthawk Vineyards is a family-run operation, and together with his wife Christy and their boys Carson and Dakota, the family pours their heart into the vineyard and winery operation, and it shows. Nighthawk consistently produces award-winning wines and food, and the road to get there involves a consistent theme — passion and hard work. All that hard work is worth it though for Daniel and his family, as they take pride in creating authentic experiences and great memories for their guests.
August Brings Record Numbers of Visitors to Nighthawk Vineyards
August is one of the busiest times of year for winery visitors. The tremendous success of the Vineyard Kitchen and Patio at Nighthawk Vineyards, their popular eco-accommodations, and their award-winning wine — it's pretty easy to see why the Bibby family is so flat-out busy. Things will not be slowing down anytime soon, either. The winery has a series of signature dinners planned, including the annual Wine Club Harvest Dinner on September 14.
Complimentary Wine Tastings Offered
Another upcoming event hosted at Nighthawk Vineyards is the first annual "Wine Presenter's Evening," held on September 4. It will be a fun event celebrating the best of the South Okanagan’s wine shop ambassadors, with a focus on enjoying great wine and wood-fire pizza. Then there’s the ongoing event at Nighthawk Vineyards sponsored by Visa Infinite, that allows holders of Visa Infinite cards to enjoy a complimentary wine tasting for the cardholder and one guest at the Nighthawk Vineyards tasting room, which Daniel tells me has been a big draw. Visa Infinite cardholders also receive 50% off on a seated wine pairing experience on their scenic patio, featuring three Nighthawk Vineyards wines paired with three signature culinary creations by Chef Carson.
Okanagan Wine Festival Includes Nighthawk Vineyard’s Tasting Event
There are lots in the works at Nighthawk Vineyards for this year's harvest season, including the October 18-19 and 26-27 events of the region’s annual Fall Okanagan Wine Festival. This year's wine festival includes a Passport to Wine program to help visitors collect stamps as they sample the many great wines across the Okanagan Valley, including Nighthawks' award-winning wines of course.
