VANCOUVER - A lucky lottery player who bought a Lotto 6/49 ticket in Chilliwack is now $7 million dollars richer.

The player matched six numbers to take home the jackpot. A $500,000 extra on the same draw was won by someone who purchased a ticket in the Peace River south region, according to a release from BCLC.

It's been a wealthy weekend for a few gamblers in the province. These 6/49 wins come after a Lotto Max ticket bought in Burnaby won Friday's draw jackpot of $25.9 million.

The Thompson-Okanagan is home to a fair amount of lottery winners. Click here to read about all the winners in the region.
