RCMP and the B.C. Coroners Service are investigating following the discovery of human remains on a bank of the Similkameen River near Hedley two weeks ago. The remains have been identified as those of Diane Marie Latulippe, 70, who had been reported missing to the Princeton RCMP on June 11, 2020.

RCMP and the B.C. Coroners Service are investigating following the discovery of human remains on a bank of the Similkameen River near Hedley two weeks ago.
The remains have been identified as those of Diane Marie Latulippe, 70, who had been reported missing to the Princeton RCMP on June 11, according to an RCMP media release issued today, July 17.
Latulippe was last seen at the Gold Mountain RV Park on Highway 3 just west of Hedley on the morning of June 7. Her remains were found on July 3 near the Rustic Camping campground on the Similkameen River.
“There is no evidence of criminality being involved in Ms. Latulippe’s death at this time,” RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Jason Bayda said in the release.
The B.C. Coroners Service is conducting an independent and concurrent fact-finding investigation to determine how, when, where and by what means the woman came to her death.
