Forums planned throughout Kamloops, Okanagan to pitch new federal ridings

B.C.'s Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission is hoping to engage voters in Kamloops and the Okanagan to weigh in on the proposed changes to the federal electoral boundaries.

Feedback is being sought for the new map that has already been drafted.

The process happens every 10 years after the census is released to rebalance the population of each riding.

The first participation forum in the area will happen at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre on June 13 at 7 p.m.

Next is in Kelowna at the Best Western Plus on June 14 at 7 p.m.
