Extras needed for feature film being shot in Penticton

If you’ve ever wanted to be in the movies, this may be your big chance.

The feature film “Change of Pace” being shot in Penticton is looking for several paid extras, according to a media release from the background casting company.

In particular, the production is looking for the following age groups available on the dates below:

  • Adults (ages 17 and up) - Sept. 28.
  • Adults (ages 17 and up) - Oct. 2.
  • People who look 16 to 18 years old - (must be 17 years old, or older) Oct. 5.
  • People who look 16 to 18 years old - (must be 17 years old, or older) Oct. 6.
  • Adults (ages 17 and up) - Oct. 7
  • Adults (ages 17 and up) - Oct. 8 and 9 (Both dates)
  • Young Adults - (17 and up) - Oct. 10.
  • Adults (ages 17 and up) - Oct. 13.
  • People who look 16 to 18 years old - (must be 17 years old, or older) Oct. 13 and 14 (Both dates)
  • Adults (ages 17 and up) - Oct. 13 and 14 (Both dates)
  • People who look 16 to18 years old - must be 17 years old, or older) Oct. 16.

The film is a union production but people not in a union can apply to be an extra.

The company said preference is given to groups of people who are related or living in the same house, and friends who are in the same COVID-19 bubble.

The casting call is open to ages 17 and older. You must be able to work as a local in Penticton you must be a B.C. resident. Documentation will be required, and dates are subject to change, so submit your application as soon as possible.

You’ll need to submit a recent photo with your name, phone number and email address, including all the dates you are available by email to adina@okanaganbackgroundcasting.com.
