Former Dragon to speak at Okanagan College

KELOWNA - A famous Canadian entrepreneur, well-known for his former role as the deal-breaker on CBC's Dragons' Den is lecturing at Okanagan College Tuesday, Jan. 27.

The free lecture takes place at the Kelowna campus' Centre For Learning at 2 p.m. and is open to staff, students and the general public.

W. Brett Wilson is a native of North Battleford, Sask. He studied Civil Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan before working three years for Imperial Oil. He moved on to study entrepreneurialship at the University of Calgary, then began working as an investment banker. He was constantly moving and building his resume and learning from his experiences. 

Today he's a very busy man, juggling multiple businesses including FirstEnergy Capital Corp., Canoe Financial and Maxim Power Corp., but his energy is also directed toward philanthropistic endeavours, plus he recently penned the book Redefining Success: Still Making Mistakes which is a Canadian Bestseller. 

According to Wilson's website, the book is about his experiences and how he was forced to re-prioritize his life. In it he discusses his decision to put relationships and health first. He also talks about his mistakes and learning from them.
