Garage fire in Kelowna yesterday resulted in no injuries

KFD responded to the fire with three fire engines, one rescue truck and one command vehicle.

A garage caught fire in Kelowna yesterday afternoon, but fire crews were able to put it out quickly.

Kelowna Fire Department responded to a garage fire on Mustang Court at 4:15 p.m. Oct.1.

15 firefighters contained the fire to just the garage so the house was not damaged, and no one was injured.

The fire department is still investigating the cause of the fire but they say it is not ‘suspicious in nature’.

Firefighters remind residents to check their smoke detectors and ensure they are working properly.
