UPDATE: Kamloops RCMP find stolen truck involved in numerous crimes; no arrests

KAMLOOPS - RCMP say the 1996 Ford F250 pickup was stolen on Sept. 19 was located in the Tranquille Road and Desmond Street area yesterday afternoon.

The vehicle was abandoned and no arrests have been made, police say in a media release.

 

4:08 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016

KAMLOOPS - Police are looking for help in locating a stolen truck that has been involved in criminal activity over the past few days in the Kamloops area.

A red and white 1996 Ford truck license plate HL 1085 was stolen overnight on Sept. 19, Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says in a media release.

She says the truck may or may not have a matching canopy on it.

Shelkie says since it was stolen, the vehicle has been involved in numerous thefts from vehicles both in Kamloops and in rural areas.

In one case, the suspect male seen driving the stolen truck assaulted a bystander who questioned him. The suspect is described as standing at 5'9" tall, with a stocky build.

Kamloops RCMP are asking the public to contact them or Crime Stoppers if this vehicle is spotted. Do not follow the vehicle, do not approach the vechile. Police are asking the public to simply call in the known location of the vehicle.
