Penticton man 'seriously' injured after shooting

THE VICTIM IS IN STABLE CONDITION

Police say they are investigating after a man was shot and seriously injured in Penticton Wednesday morning.

Penticton RCMP responded to a 911 call around 7 a.m. June 12 to the 100 block of Westhills Drive. The victim was taken to hospital and is in stable condition for a serious injury, Const. Patti Evans said in a release.

She didn't say if the victim was cooperating with police nor if a suspect was identified.

"The investigation is in its preliminary stages, but appears to be a targeted incident with no identified risk to the public," she said.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Penticton RCMP at (250)492-4300.
