Elvis Presley tribute artists have gathered in Penticton to face off and see who’s the best.

Artists will be doing their best renditions of the king of rock and roll at the Penticton Elvis Festival in Okanagan Lake Park today and tomorrow.

Tickets are $38 to $64, but they are nearly sold out.

The judges will be deciding the winning Elvis after tomorrow’s finals which start at 2 p.m.

Contestants are judged on their overall singing ability, how well their look emulates the king himself, whether they have Elvis’ on stage charisma, and their overall performance.

The festival is a preliminary event for the “The Ultimate Elvis Competition”. The Penticton Elvis champion will be able to head down to compete in the finals in Memphis during Elvis week in August.

There is lots of time for aspiring Elvis tributaries to get their act together for next year. Registration for the 2025 Penticton Elvis Festival opens on Sept. 1.
