KAMLOOPS - A pedestrian was injured in a hit and run this week in the Valleyview area.

Kamloops RCMP sent a media release stating they responded to a report of an injured male on the East Trans-Canada Highway Frontage Rd on Thursday, March 29.

The victim was a male driver of a commercial vehicle. Police say he had parked and appeared to have been walking across the Frontage Rd when he was struck by an unknown vehicle.

The vehicle did not stop after the collision and fled the scene.

The injured man was transported to a medical facility in critical condition. He was treated for multiple serious injuries.

Kamloops RCMP request the public’s assistance with the investigation.

If you were in the area at the time of the incident and have recording dash cameras in your vehicle, police are asking that you review the footage for possible related video or images.

They ask anyone who has information that may be of value to contact Kamloops RCMP Detachment at (250) 823-3000. You can also make an anonymous call to Kamloops Crime stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
