If you're travelling on the Trans-Canada Highway in the next day be prepared for a lot of snow.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning, indicating that 20 to 25 centimetres of snow is expected to fall on the Trans-Canada Highway, from Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass, by Monday morning.

"A series of Pacific weather systems will give snow to Highway 1 - Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass and Highway 3 - Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass today," reads the alert from the national weather agency.

"Snow will continue today and will intensify tonight. Total snow accumulations near 25 cm can be expected before morning."

Periods of snow are expected to continue through Monday with additional snowfall accumulations expected over both highway routes.

Road conditions are available at www.drivebc.ca.
