Salmon Arm RCMP are asking for the public's help to find a 28-year-old woman reported missing over a week ago.

Shiean Black Kettle was reported missing on Sept. 2, according to an RCMP media release. She was last seen in the Vernon area in August.

RCMP describe Kettle as a 28-year-old Indigenous woman, 5'11" tall and 130 lb. She has dyed blonde or purple hair, brown eyes and multiple tattoos, one of which is a distinctive cross on top of her left hand.

Police have followed up on several leads since her disappearance but she has yet to be located.

Investigators believe she may have travelled to Quesnel or Prince George.

Kettle's family say it is out of character for her to be out of contact for this long.

Police are urging anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact the Salmon Arm RCMP at 778-290-3791, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
