An 82-year-old man from the Shuswap has been charged with fraud.

According to the Criminal Investigations Branch of the BC Securities Commission, Chase resident Gordon Bruce Balneaves Fuller was arrested April 29 and has been charged with one count of fraud over $5,000.

It's not yet been made public how much money Fuller is accused of defrauding investors of, only that the investment-related misconduct allegedly took place between 2017 and 2020 near Bridesville.

Outside of several driving offences, Fuller doesn't appear to have a criminal record in BC.

Fuller is scheduled to appear at the Penticton courthouse May 22.
